So do you mean we should try to show AR potential as a new means of modeling, i.e by hand rather than with a mouse?
Or were you thinking of it more in terms of a game?
I think it would be cool to be able to interact with a RTS in this way. In our case we could have pre-made assets that could then be manipulated by the user; Picking up and placing characters to different places on a map or deforming a preexisting building to suit the player.
I was thinking of it as more of a way to manipulate the game-play (if it does turn into a game) or even a way of controlling a character.
It would be really cool to go down the modeling rout but I get the feeling that could turn really complex. But! It could be worth looking into? How accurate is AR from a web cam in determining position in 3d space?
